Editing a Project
There is no standalone settings page in the project sidebar. Instead, project editing is done via the Edit Project Modal accessible from the account home page:- Navigate to your team’s account home page
- Find the project card you want to edit
- Click the context menu (three-dot icon) on the project card
- Select Edit Project
- The Edit Project modal opens with editable fields
Editable Fields
Project Name
Your project name appears:- On your account home page as the project card title
- In the navigation header when inside the project
- In notifications and alerts
- Be descriptive but concise
- Include the product name
- Use consistent naming across projects
Project Description
A brief description of what this project tracks. This helps team members understand the project’s purpose at a glance.Project Slug
The project slug is the URL-friendly identifier for your project. It is automatically generated from the project name and cannot be customized. The slug is read-only and is used in all project URLs.Product Context
The product context is a structured description of your product that DevTune uses to generate relevant insights, prompts, and recommendations. How Product Context Works
During project creation (Step 2 of the wizard), DevTune generates an AI-produced product context based on the product basics you provide. You review and refine this context as part of the setup process. The product context includes structured information about:- Problem solved - What pain point your product addresses
- Target users - Who uses your product (e.g., “Python developers building data pipelines”)
- Key features - Main capabilities of the product
- Category - What type of tool it is
Reviewing Product Context
The product context established during project creation is used throughout DevTune for:- Generating relevant search prompts
- Creating meaningful insights
- Providing context-aware recommendations
- Understanding your competitive landscape
Tip: If you are seeing irrelevant insights or prompts, review your product context. Better context leads to more accurate recommendations.
Search Tracking Configuration
Search tracking configuration is managed separately from the Edit Project modal. To configure platforms, citation sources, brand terms, and brands:- Navigate into your project
- In the sidebar, expand AI Search Tracking
- Select Config
- Use the four tabs (Platforms, Citation Sources, Brand Terms, Brands) to manage your tracking setup
Deleting a Project
Project deletion is handled from the account home page, not from a settings page:- Navigate to your team’s account home page
- Find the project card
- Click the context menu (three-dot icon)
- Select Delete Project
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Warning: Project deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All search tracking data, analytics, insights, and configurations are permanently removed.
